Amongst the hustle and bustle of one of London’s busiest stations, 25 cyclists culminated the end of an epic 280-mile journey as part of the Colon Challenge 2016. A mini-festival was set-up outside Kings Cross Station to welcome the riders after their long journey. Radio Harrow broadcast live from the finish line to bring listeners all the action from the St Mark’s Hospital Foundation event.

The Colon Challenge is the St Mark’s Hospital Foundation’s largest event in the year. The challenge involves 25 cyclists embarking on a 280-mile long journey along a colon shaped route. The journey takes four days and each cyclist raises sponsorship to raise money for the St Mark’s Hospital Foundation.

The Foundation supports the research and development of treatment for Bowel Cancer. The Colon Challenge was originally organised by Paul Bouscarle, a bowel cancer patient at St Mark’s Hospital. 2016 marks St Mark’s Hospital Foundation’s 180th Anniversary Year.
